The speciality of this temple is the Garudan Thookkam, which will take place on the 10th day. The temple is unique in each and every ritual. Two logs of wood from the aranai tree is placed on both sides of a platform on which the person who plays as garudan dances.

People on both sides carry them till the temple. It will start from the place who is making the vazhipadu and reach the temple early in the morning. Throughout the night the garudan will do the thullal stopping on the wayhere and there for few minutes.
After reaching the temple a hook will be pierced on his back and will be hung on a pole.
The pathetic state of the affairs now is whether all the above rituals that took place all these days will be carried on for ever.
